16. Gels for the reduction of relative permeability 28-06-08 - Taking in consideration the needs of our clients who operate fields with strong bottom and lateral aquifers, Lipesa Internacional has obtained the representation of DPR gels from the French Institute of Petroleum, for the Americas. The Gels with DPR effect (Disproportionate Permeability Reduction), demonstrate a selective reduction behavior to the permeability of water/gas without affecting the permeability of the Oil, which has made attractive their use in production areas to isolate unwanted Gas or Water. Colloidal gels or Microgels are available with a 3 cPoise average viscosity in brine formation solution, stable in temperatures up to 330 °F, in three diameters (0,3 µm; 1,0 µm; 2,0 µm).
